Join us Thursday, June 18th at 7 PM for WestFest 2009: Images That Move, at Soho Photo Gallery, for a celebration of Cannery Works photographers and their projects, with a moderated panel discussion led by Ann Landi, contributing editor for ARTNews.

Featuring:
  • Timothy Briner's BOONVILLE: black and white photographic images expressing a mythic vision of small town America.
  • Matt Stacey and Heami Lee's BIO REVOLUTIONS (premiere sponsorship from Hallmark Institute of Photography): digital photography and audio tell the story of the alternative fuel movement from the summer of 2008.
  • Jason Covert's A QUIET WORLD: macrophotographic images of insects, animals, and flowers from around the world.

As with all Cannery Works events, provided there is room, no one is turned away for lack of funds. Everyone is invited to bring a can of food or a dollar for charity.
